All meetings are held at the new Chapel Hill Seymour Senior Center
on Homestead Road (on the North side of Chapel Hill) about 1 mile
south of Exit 266 of US-40. See directions below.
Visitors are always welcome; they are invited to attend 3
meetings before deciding to join or not.
Annual membership dues of $25/individual or family ($15 for students)

Cal Wong, will give a slide show on his trip to Tikal National Park,
Guatemala in April, 2009. 6 days altogether starting with a few
days in Belize. There were 3 of us traveling together led by wildlife
photographer Mark Kostich a graduate of the Chapel Hill Camera Club.
So relevant details will be kept together, I'll cover topics sequentially
as: (1) a travelogue of the trip followed by; (2) a brief background
of Belizan economic and political history, a little medical biology
and Mayan archeology (no time for 2012 predictions); and (3) a taste
of tropical ecology.
The meeting will be at 7:00 pm on Tuesday, April 13 in the Theater
of the Seymour Center on Homestead Road in Chapel Hill.

Tuesday, April 27 will be our next photo competition. This will be a print
competition. Up to 5 entries per maker. As usual, competitors should
arrive by 6:40 pm to register entries.

Directions to Chapel Hill Seymour Senior Center on Homestead Rd.
Note: The building is a 2 story, glass and brick building.
The street sign says Orange County Southern Human Services.
Park in first lot on left behind building. Enter from the parking
lot side which is the 2nd story, The auditorium is on the ground floor.
A. From Franklin St, downtown, Chapel Hill:
Take Martin Luther King Blvd (Historic Airport Rd = NC 86)
north towards Hillsboro.
Go 2.6 miles to Homestead; The Station at Homestead is on left,
Church on right. Homestead is about halfway between Estes Drive
and Weaver Dairy Rd.
Go left onto Homestead and go 0.3 mile to Senior Ctr on left.
B. From Durham on 15-501:
Take right onto Estes Drive about 1/4 mile past Eastgate Shopping Ctr.
Go to Martin Luther King Blvd (NC 86).
Go right on MLK Blvd to Homestead Rd.
Go left onto Homestead and go 0.3 mile to Senior Ctr on left.
C. From Durham on NC 54:
Stay on same road in the area of Glen Lennox shopping ctr; don't
follow 54 when it exits at overpass.
By going under overpass, road becomes Raleigh Rd and enters UNC campus.
Continue a few blocks to Columbia St.
Go right onto Columbia through campus and downtown Chapel Hill until
it becomes NC 86 - MLK blvd. Continue north to Homestead Rd.
Go left onto Homestead 0.3 mile to Senior Ctr on left.
D. From US 40 East (Durham or Raleigh) or West (Burlington):
Take Exit 266 at Chapel Hill which comes out onto NC 86.
Take NC 86 South (towards Chapel Hill) about a mile to Homestead Rd.
Go right on Homestead 0.3 mi to Senior Ctr. on left.
